One Quarter Full

Three months in Vancouver, done and dusted. We talk a lot in quarters here, so I will continue with this lingo. I’ve been thinking about time & how it often feels like days go by slow but weeks & years are fast. If I think about it, I’m 1/4 into 2019 and 1/8 into my initial two year commitment with YWAM Vancouver. As much as two years felt daunting to begin with, I can see how this time will soon feel short & not enough. Anyway, that’s future Georgie’s problem (you can pray about this ha!), let me show you in a series of pictures what January-March have looked like for me in Vancouver.

We had an unusually dry, yet snowy winter. Vancouver is normally known as “Raincouver”, but instead of the wet stuff we got the white stuff!

I went with my neighbour & colleague Cindy, to her home on Vancouver Island. It was a very Canadian weekend full of cinnamon buns, building snow men & seeing Orca Whales on the ferry trip over!

Introducing YWAM Vancouver. Here is a snapshot of everything we do here. From our Discipleship Training Schools, which I did in 2016, (we also have a Hockey & Snowboarding/Skiers DTS which is super cool), to our bible school, weekly prayer, worship, community meals, filming student testimonies, sending teams off on overseas mission & coffee catch ups to encourage each other in our faith – love all of the above SO much!

And outside of YWAM, well, my life is a combination of things. Settling into my new Church, hosting dinners at my place, exploring Vancouver, practising lines with my twin brother Cole, driving on the other side of the road (eeek), receiving care packages from Australia, showing visitors around my new home (yes, already – yay!) & enjoying the spring weather – thank you Jesus.
